Hungarian Division of the International Academy of Pathology kindly invites you to the 6th Central European Regional Meeting / Technology Transfer in Diagnostic Pathology to be held in Balatonfüred, Hungary,
April 7-9, 2011. The event, which is part of the very successful series of meetings about technology transfer in diagnostic pathology, will focus on cytopathology. The scientific sessions will be followed by an attractive social program.

Abstracts received after the deadline will not be considered. The decision of the Abstract Evaluation Committee will be forwarded to the author by e-mail until
February 20, 2011. Presenting authors must register and pay the registration fee.
Abstracts will be published in the Final Program and on a CD-ROM, both included in the congress bag. Submission implies consent to the publication.

ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATE AND CME (Continuing Medical Education) CREDITS
The 'Hungarian Division of the International Academy of Pathology (IAP)' (or) 'Technology Transfer in Diagnostic Pathology 6th Central European Regional Meeting' is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net. The 'Technology Transfer in Diagnostic Pathology 6th Central European Regional Meeting' is designated for a maximum of (or 'for up to') 15 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.
The Meeting is accredited by the Hungarian Medical Chamber for
10 CME credits.
Attendance Certificates will be issued by the Congress Secretariat upon registration.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Weather
The weather in April is usually mild in Hungary, temperature ranges between 17-20 Celsius. Do not forget to bring along your umbrella, since showers may occur.
Dress is informal at all occasions.
Visas
Entry visa is not required for the citizens of the European countries, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan and USA. Citizens of other countries should apply for visa at a Hungarian diplomatic mission or consular post in the country of their permanent or habitual residence. Hungary is part of the Schengen area. Citizens of the EU member states, as well as those of Croatia and Switzerland may travel to Hungary with an identity card.
Currency, exchange, bank cards
The official currency is the Hungarian Forint. Exchange facilities are available at the airport, in hotels, at the exchange desk of the banks. ATMs are available throughout the country. American Express, Visa, Diners, MasterCard, JCB cards are mostly accepted in hotels, restaurants and city stores, but you should ask before ordering a service or purchasing goods.
Insurance
The Organizing Committee does not assume responsibility for injuries or losses occurring to persons or personal belongings during the conference. Participants are therefore advised to carry the proper travel and health insurance.
Electricity supply and phone
In Hungary electricity is supplied at 230 V, 50 Hz like in most European countries. The 2-pin connecting plug is different from that used in some other countries (e.g. USA, UK, Japan etc.). Phone and mobile service background is according to European standards.
Travel
By public transportation: Hungary lies at the crossroad of the main tourist traffic in Europe. More than 30 regular and low cost airlines operate flights to and from Budapest. From Budapest Balatonfüred is accessible by train or bus.
