The Austrian and Hungarian Societies of Pathology cordially invite you to attend our bi-national meeting in Sopron, Hungary.
The scientific and educational program of the congress is focusing on some timely topics.
The friendly atmosphere of Hungary and neighbouring Austria is well known, we expect some enjoyable social events, as well.
The meeting venue is located in the beautiful town of Sopron, very close to the Austrian border and the - region of Neusiedlersee.
The region on both sides of the border is well-known of its viniculture and outdoor activities like water sports or cycling. In 2001 the region became UNESCO World Heritage.
We hope we can welcome you in Sopron.

Attendance Certificates will be issued by the Congress Secretariat upon registration. The Meeting will be credited by the respective Hungarian and Austrian authorities.

Hungary is part of the Schengen area. Citizens of the EU member states, as well as those of Croatia and Switzerland may travel to Hungary with an identity card.

Sopron has a good public bus transportation system. To reach the hotel take bus nos. 1, 2, 15 or 15A.
Travel by car

Currency, exchange, bank cards
The official currency is the Hungarian Forint. Exchange facilities are available at the airport, in hotels, at the exchange desk of the banks. ATMs are available throughout the country. American Express, Visa, Diners, MasterCard, JCB cards are mostly accepted in hotels, restaurants and city stores, but you should ask before ordering a service or purchasing goods.
Insurance
The Organizing Committee does not assume responsibility for injuries or losses occurring to persons or personal belongings during the conference. Participants are therefore advised to carry the proper travel and health insurance.
Weather
The weather in October is usually cool in Hungary, temperature ranges between 7-18 °C, showers may occur.
